MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP TO VOTE ON THE PROPOSED MERGER WITH ARROWHEAD CREDIT UNIION
Today marks a pivotal moment for Valley Hills Federal Credit Union and its members—we are seeking a merger with Arrowhead Central Credit Union and asking for your support.
As some of you know, Kathy Innes (Membership Service Representative) and I (Heather Jedinak, CEO) are retiring soon. After an extensive search of local and nationwide candidates for a suitable replacement for my role, it became clear to the Board of Directors and me that not only do we need the right leadership but also to offer our members more modern products and services that they deserve.
Knowing this, the Board of Directors and I started looking for just the right organization for us to merge with. After meeting with several credit unions and conducting due diligence, it was clear that Arrowhead Credit Union was the right fit.
Arrowhead has grown to serve more than 200,000 members over the last seven decades. They have a strong service philosophy, believe in giving back to the community, and have an excellent lineup of products and services. A few products and services worth mentioning: state-of-the-art digital banking, competitive rates, and efficient ways to pay bills and transfer money. Additionally, they have two branches conveniently located near the District and Crafton Hills – plus 17 more locations throughout Southern California and Arizona.
Further, I’m working closely with Valley College to establish a full-service branch on campus that will serve faculty, staff, and students – something that I know is important to you.
We kindly ask for your support to make this merger a reality. The Valley Hills FCU Board of Directors will vote in favor of the merger, and we recommend our members vote in favor as well.
How to Vote:
1. Select “approve” on the ballot that was mailed to you and return it in the envelope provided by 5:30pm on Oct. 17.
2. Or, bring your ballot to the Meeting of the Membership on Oct. 17 in B100 at 5:30pm. Dinner plus prize drawings available, and Arrowhead staff on site for questions. Email your RSVP by Oct. 10, for the 1st 60 members that RSVP.
In the meantime, we have worked with Arrowhead to set up a website where you can learn more. You can find it at www.arrowheadcu.org/valleyhills.
If you have any questions, the Valley Hills team is here to answer them. Feel free to stop in or give us a call at (909) 384-4498.
